2026-27 Season Membership FAQs

How can I purchase a Taipans Membership for the upcoming season? 

Renewing Members – If you held a membership in the 2025-26 season, you would have received an email from Taipans Tickets with instructions on how to renew. The cut-off date for renewals is the 31st March 2026.

What games will be included in the 14 Game Season Membership?

The 14 Game Season membership will include all 14 regular home games, which don’t include any additional games like the Ignite Cup. More information will be provided once the NBL27 Season Schedule is released

 

Will I need to purchase tickets to the additional games like the Ignite Cup?

More information will be available regarding additional games once the NBL27 Season Schedule is released.

 

What is the renewal Subscription?

A renewal subscription is a new way of setting up memberships to be able to be on an automatic rollover subscription for each season. There are no automatic payments require and you can unsubscribe by signing into your ticketing account.

 

How do I access my online ticketing account?

You will need to log in via taipans.tickets.com and click on the top right sign-in button.

If you have already logged in before, you will just need to enter your email and password.

If you haven’t, you can either log in via the Register for Free link or by clicking on the Forgot Password link.

When does the Early Bird Sale end?

The Early Bird sale ends 11:59 pm AEST Tuesday 31 March 2026.

Members who held seats during the 2025-26 season MUST renew during this period to keep their current seats.

After the cut-off date, seats will be released to the general public on Tuesday, 1 April 2026.

If available, seats can be changed if preferred – please contact Taipans HQ.

 

I am a renewing member; how can I change my seats for the upcoming season?

Renewing members can only change or upgrade their seats by contacting Taipans HQ. This cannot be done online. If a seating option is not available at the time of renewal, members can go on a waitlist.

If that seat becomes available, they will be notified after the Early Bird period.

Members will also have up until the third home game of the 2026-27 NBL season at the Cairns Convention Centre to change or move seats.

 

What payment options are available to pay for my Membership?

There are 2 payment options available in full or on our automatic monthly instalment plan. Additional booking and transaction fees will apply.

 

How does the monthly instalment plan work?

If you choose to pay on the instalment plan, your first payment of 20% will be taken at the time of purchase. From there, your remaining amount will be split into the following months, with your final payment being in August.

 

Why is the instalment plan asking me to sign in?

You will need to sign in to your ticketing online account in order for the instalment plan to be set up with the payment gateway.

Your sign-in details are what you would use to access your tickets.

Renewing members who haven’t signed in before will just need to click on the Forgot Password link to update their password.

If you are a new member, you must click on the Register for Free link to set up your email and password.

Please contact Taipans HQ if you have any issues with signing in.

 

What date will my instalment be taken each month?

Your monthly instalment date will be based on the date that you originally purchased your membership.

Example – If you purchased your membership on the 1st of February, the remaining instalment dates will be on the 1st of each month. All instalments will end in August.

 

What happens if I miss my instalment payment on its due date?

If your payment fails on its due date, the system will try and retake it 1 day later, then 3 days later, with the final attempt to be taken 7 days later.

Example – Your due date is the 6th. if the payment declines, the system will retry on the 7th and then again on the 10th, with the last retake on the 17th.

If all 3 attempts were declined, then you will be contacted by Taipans HQ so you can make payment of the amount still owing. Please read the Terms & Conditions on the monthly instalment plan.

 

Can I update my card details on the monthly instalment plan?

Yes, you can update your payment details at any time by logging into your online ticketing account, then of to subscriptions and to payment method. Please make sure to set your new card as the primary card so that it will update on your payment plan.

If you have trouble logging in, make sure to reset your password or contact Taipans HQ.

 

I am a renewing member and missed the Early Bird cut-off date. What happens to my seats?

If a renewing member does not contact Taipans HQ before 31st March 2026, their current seats will be released to the public on 1 April 2025.

If your seats are still available after this date, you will be able to purchase them,.. but at the current membership price.

 

Will I receive a refund if I decide to cancel my membership?

The Cairns Taipans are under no obligation to agree to a refund, subject to the provisions of the Australian Consumer Law.

Requests can be made and will be reviewed by Cairns Taipans management, and if approved, a 20% non-refundable amount will be held from the total cost of your membership.

 

Does my Membership include Finals games?

Taipans memberships are for 14 regular season games at the Cairns Convention Centre and do not include Finals ticketing or any addtionals games. Members will have first priority (ahead of the general public) to purchase Finals tickets held in Cairns and administered by the Cairns Taipans.

 

When will I receive my membership pack?

Membership packs will be ready for collection 1-2 weeks prior to the first home game. Packs can either be collected at our annual Members Day or at Taipans HQ.

Communication will be sent via email once the packs are ready for collection.

If a member requires their pack to be posted, they will need to contact us, and postage costs will be added.

 

I have lost my membership card. How do I get a replacement?

If you have lost or damaged your member’s card, you can either get a replacement card printed or access your digital ticket via your Taipans Tickets account. A fee will apply if you require a fiscal card to be reprinted.

If something happens to your card on game day and you can’t access your digital version, please see the Taipans staff at the ticketing desk.

 

How can I access my tickets online?

To access your e-ticket, you will need to log into your Taipans Tickets account by clicking on the sign-in button, then entering your registered email address and your password. If you have forgotten your password, you will need to reset it via the link when you log in.

If you have not set up your account before, you will have to select the “Register for Free” option and complete the required fields.  Once you have registered, make sure to check your email inbox to verify your account before logging back in.

 

How do I download my tickets on my mobile?

  1. Select the event you’re attending to view your tickets. Note: All season tickets will appear as a single event tile and can be stored as one pass per seat (more details in the ‘How do season ticket passes work?’ section above).
  2. After selecting an event, you can view and manage additional tickets by scrolling from right to left.
  3. Choose “Add to Wallet” on the ticket(s) you want to store.
  4. Tap “Add” in the top right corner to securely store your ticket in your mobile wallet.
  5. All mobile tickets will show a QR code for scanning.

 

How can I print my tickets at home?

Tickets can be printed at home by clicking on the Download E-ticket option on your confirmation page. From there, a PDF version will load for you to then print.

If there is no option to select Download E-ticket, you will need to personalise it with a name first, then the option to Download should appear.

I am unable to attend a game. how can I transfer my season tickets?

Tickets can be transferred by following the instructions below.

  1. Select “Transfer” on the event you would like to transfer. Note: All season tickets will appear as a single event tile. Multiple seats and games can be easily transferred at once with the following steps.
  2. Select the seat(s) you want to transfer and tap “Proceed.”
  3. Select the game(s) you want to transfer.
  4. Enter the email address of the person to whom you would like to transfer ticket(s).
  5. Tap “Submit” to initiate the transfer.*

 

I have been gifted a Taipans Gift Voucher. How do I redeem it?  

Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed online via tickets.taipans.com or at Taipans HQ.

Once you have selected a game you would like to attend, you just add the voucher number to the shopping card.

Gift vouchers can only be redeemed for season memberships and single-game tickets.

 

How long is a gift voucher valid for?

Under the Australian Consumer Law, the expiry date for gift vouchers is 3 years from the purchase date. The expiry date will be clearly displayed on the voucher.
